The Kansas City barbeque tradition finds its roots in the Bryant family. Charlie Bryant, Arthur's brother, is credited with starting this flavorful legacy, although some attribute it to Henry Perry, whom Charlie worked for. Arthur made a life-changing visit to Kansas City and decided to stay. After his brother's passing, he assumed control of the operation and relocated the restaurant to its current home at 18th & Brooklyn, just blocks away from Municipal Stadium, the original home of the Kansas City Chiefs and Athletics.
